There are many on-line sources of information about the corona virus outbreak, some are reliable and some are not. Before I retired and moved to Patagonia I was a senior staff veterinarian with the US Department of Agriculture’s Veterinary Services in the Emergency Management Staff. During the H1N1 (Swine Flu) outbreak of 2009 USDA partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) , public heath organizations, agricultural organizations to develop a united approach to the challenges facing the public, public health and agriculture. These different groups were able to speak with one voice during the outbreak, avoiding the confusion of different authorities issuing conflicting messages. One of the tools we used was a email newsletter I managed that presented new and updated articles from multiple sources to keep everyone attuned to changes in the information about the outbreak. That’s the goal here, to keep the community up-to-date on what is going on with the corona virus and how it affects us. Some of the information will be repeats of what you may see elsewhere, some will be summaries of daily reports, and other will be links to other sources.
